Today’s engagement session took me to Alexandria, VA.  We decided to take photos in the Old Town section of the city. It known for its restaurants, boutiques and arts scene. so what better place to take photos. To beat the crowds which line these streets on a daily basis, we decided to get an early start….early as in 6am!! We really didn’t have a plan, other than to hit some of the more visible areas and to go with the flow and let things play out on there own. Overall, I’m very pleased with the results and I hope they are as well. Be on the lookout for these two in September!

These two are a great example of what true love looks like. I’ve never seen a man who is so eager to let the world know how he feels about his wife.  Marc consistency showers Colete with attention. These two went from worker in the same building who saw each other in passing, to husband and wife. Marc and Colette were my most “seasoned” coupled to date, but they could teach some of the young ones a thing or two!! The wedding was held at the University Club in Durham. Very nice venue, with a great view. The space is ideal for smaller weddings.  There were less than 50 guest, which made things very intimate. I really enjoyed my time working with these two. They are loads of fun. I wish you two a long life together.

Another Saturday, another special wedding. Today I had the pleasure of photographing the nuptials of Henry and Sheneka. We’ve know each other since our college days and Henry was a groomsman in my wedding about 10 years ago. I told him I’d rather shoot the wedding, rather than being a groomsman and he obliged. The wedding was held at the gorgeous Bella Collina Mansion in Stokesdale. They did an excellent job and had it managed down to the minute. Kudos to Johnathan and his staff!! I’m so glad the weather cooperated. It can be difficult planning an outdoor wedding a year in advance, especially with the crazy weather in North Carolina. As you can tell from the pictures, the venue is gorgeous, but not as nice as the dress Sheneka was wearing. It was silver color, something I’d never seen before in a wedding dress. When it was all over. These two were whisked away in a boat and started to prepared for their honeymoon in the DR. I wish you two the best and see you soon!!
